Wait--isn't it still 2-6 in the US and (barely) the Canadian maritime provinces? In the last fading minutes of the day, and in lieu of any other candidates, I nominate the following, which frankly I haven't listened to in ages, but I remember being pretty decent music and sound quality:

Very nice Lou! I love all the Feb. '69 shows, seems like they were really on a roll that month. This show doesn't quite get the accolades of the 2/5 or 2/7/69 shows surrounding it, but it is quite worthy. My personal highlights include the Eleven and the Other One suite, both very wildly jammed...

Couldn't agree more, CC! Mando, as well, has a special place in his heart for the mid to late Feb shows from 69 (Vallejo, if memory serves; right in my old backyard no less! Besides, of course, the beginning of the BIG Fillmore Run, and the production of Live Dead, etc).

The best Elevens (IMHO), the elegant MotM-->DS transitions, and the "practice makes perfect" approach as they led themselves up to big production/taping of their four nights @ Fillmore West all contribute to this month being soooo special.

Who cares about narrow and repetitive set-lists, eh? OK, OK, I could do without the fact that they somehow went completely CRAZY and decided to do Hey Jude, but setting that aside, there's not much room for criticism, ya know?

You are correct sir. Thats why it said tdih and Feb. 6 on
the same day prolly. As we all learn new things about the
GD every day, my late ass is just now figuring out about
the last run of the HJK (2/5-2/7 1989), and am interested
about anyone who might have been there, or some history.

If this were a thread about a nomination for the best
tdih, you would certainly be right with the 69 rec.
You got my vote.
